We have been in school for a little over a month and I, for one, am excited to be back in
a routine. I hope you and your children are, too!
Reminders
-The new mulch has been installed on the playground and it looks and feels great! We
are finding that mulch is getting into our friends shoes easily and often. Please send
your child to school wearing socks and shoes, as this helps keep mulch off little feet!
-Please make sure your child has finished eating breakfast before dropping him/her off
at school. Under DHS licensing rules, children must be seated at tables and chairs
during mealtime and the teacher must focus on the children who are eating. We are
unable to provide this level of supervision first thing in the morning and ask that you do
not send our child into the preschool in the morning with food.
Butter Braids
Bethlehem Preschool will be selling Butter Braids starting October 3 rd thru October 18 th .
Delivery is November 8 th before the Holidays. Please note, this fundraiser is optional, as
we have many families past and present that enjoy serving Butter Braids during the
holiday season.
The Butter Braids are $17.00 each and we are offering: Cinnamon Rolls w/cream
cheese icing; Caramel Roll w/ caramel glaze; Apple; Cream Cheese; Strawberry and
Cream Cheese; Bavarian Crème w/ chocolate icing; and Four Cheese and Herb w.
Marinara Sauce.
Order forms will be in your child’s backpack on Tuesday, October 3 rd . . In addition to
items you want to purchase, if you have friends or family members who would like to
order, please include their information on this form. We ask that you write one check for
your entire order payable to Bethlehem Preschool. Payment is due on October 18 th with
your order form.
Important Dates
Tuesday, October 3: Picture order forms and payment are due.
Tuesday - Thursday, October 10th - October 12th : Bethlehem Preschool is Closed for a WCS Professional Development Day and Fall Break.
Wednesday, October 18 th : Butter Braid order forms and payment are due.
Tuesday, October 24 th – Gentry’s Farm Field trip: Miss Robyn and Miss Shelley’s Pre-k classes will enjoy a visit to Gentry’s Farm. More information will be provided closer to the date of the trip. Please have your child wear his/her class t-shirt for this event.
Wednesday, October 25 th – Bethlehem Preschool Pumpkin Patch: Miss Jennifer, Miss Paula and Miss Samantha’s classes will visit the pumpkin patch located on the grounds of the preschool. Each child will choose a pumpkin to bring home. Please have your child wear his/her class t-shirt for this event.
Saturday, October 28 th – Trunk ’R Treat: Bethlehem United Methodist Church will host this family-friendly event at the church from 4:28 – 6:28 p.m. Children are invited to wear a costume and bring a bag; adults are invited to wear a costume, decorate the trunks of their cars and enjoy passing out goodies to the children in attendance. There will be crafts, games, bounce houses and more! All are invited to attend!
Tuesday, October 31 st – Trick or Treating and Halloween Parties: Your child’s . Teacher and room parents will be in touch with more information about individual classroom plans.
