January Newsletter

Happy New Year! While I have enjoyed the break, I am definitely ready to get back into a

routine. I hope you are, too.

Important Reminders

-Recess Time: We will continue to go outside as much as possible during recess. Please make

sure you send hats, gloves, mittens, and anything else your child may need to stay warm.

During the winter, there is very little sun on the playground, so little hands and ears get cold

quickly!

-Inclement Weather Policy: Please remember that we follow the Williamson County School

System for school closings. If WCS are closed, we are closed. If the school system opens 1 hour

late, we open 1 hour late, or at 10:30, with pick up remaining at 2:30. If the school system

opens 2 hours late, we open 2 hours late, or at 11:30, with pick remaining at 2:30.

Additionally, if WCS close early, we will close early, as several preschool teachers also have

children in the school system and will need to pick them up.

You will receive an email from the preschool, as well as a Brightwheel message, should we need

to close. We will send this information as soon as we receive notification from Williamson

County Schools.

-Structured PE: Maureen Sharp will again be with us this winter, to lead Paula, Jennifer, Shelley

and Robyn’s classes in Structured PE on Thursdays. We will begin this program on Thursday,

January 4, and it will run through the week before Spring Break.

As in years past, she will spend 30 minutes working on gross motor and physical education

activities with Paula and Jennifer’s classes; then she will spend 30 minutes with Shelley and

Robyn’s classes.

Registration for Fall 2024

Registration information will be sent via Brightwheel on Thursday, January 18. Current

students and siblings will need to register and pay the $75 per child fee by Tuesday, January 23.

If you currently have a child enrolled and will be enrolling a sibling for next year who is not

currently attending Bethlehem, please let me know so I can create an account for the sibling in

Brightwheel; we will then send registration forms for both (or all) children.

I will create an invoice in Brightwheel for your registration payment. If you will not be sending

your child to Bethlehem in the fall, please let me know and I will not create that invoice in your

child’s account.

New student registration will open on Thursday, January 25. Please spread the word if family or

friends are looking for a new preschool.

Year-End Income Tax Documentation

Since the Brightwheel system has been in use for all of 2023, you should be able to access your

own information for income tax purposes.

To do this, you will need to log into Brightwheel on the Web (not the App);

-click on the Payments tab;

-from the Accounts tab, select your child’s name to open their account…if you have more than

one child enrolled at Bethlehem, choose the account of the oldest child;

-scroll down until you see the Payments & Credits tab and click to open it;

-click the purple Export button;

-enter the date range from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023;

-choose Download;

-click on the download tab on the top right of your screen and you should see the tax

information for your family.

If there is an issue, please contact me and I can provide you with your tax information.

Please note: If you had a child that graduated from Bethlehem in May, a portion of your 2023

tax information will be with that child’s account, which has been deactivated. We still have

that information but I will need to briefly change that child’s status in Brightwheel and you

will need to access two accounts. Please contact me if you need that to take place.

Or I can create the tax document manually as we did before Brightwheel. I apologize for the

inconvenience.

We are looking forward to getting back into the swing of things on Wednesday, January 3, for

our 3-day classes and on Thursday, January 4, for all classes!
